What it is
Maleta.dev organizes a catalog of skills for Claude Code and Codex and provides a local workspace for assembling reproducible configurations. The CLI validates and applies the selection described in maleta.json. A skill is a package of instructions that the agent loads when its subject comes up.
In the workspace, you choose a preset, adjust individual skills, and import references to skills published in public GitHub repositories. The exported manifest preserves each item's source and can be reviewed and moved. There are 82 cataloged skills, organized into categories such as accessibility, animation, testing, interface design, infrastructure, and documentation.
From the site to the CLI
The site exports maleta.json; the CLI runs init, validate, install, and sync. Built-in skills come from the bundled catalog. Public GitHub skills are resolved when the selection is applied and copied to ~/.claude/skills/ or ~/.agents/skills/, depending on the chosen target. targetOs must match the system running the CLI.
Local-first workflow and sources
The manifest is a regular JSON file: you decide when to export, review, and apply it. Validation and installation happen locally; a public GitHub skill requires access to the public content it declares. Third-party skills retain the licenses and attribution of their upstream sources.
