    Explore three ways to install skills, create a Maleta, and run the CLI locally.

    #What is a Maleta

    A Maleta is a declarative selection of skills and plugins recorded in a maleta.json file. It describes what should be applied to an environment, including the target tool and operating system.

    #Three ways to get started

    1. Hosted skill installer

      Use the skill installer commands to write skills to each tool's local directories.

    2. Workspace and maleta.json

      Build a selection in the workspace, review it, and export the maleta.json for your first Maleta.

    3. CLI through npm

      Install the CLI through npm and run the commands in the Run the CLI guide.

    #What is not part of the flow

    • You do not need to create an account: signing in to the workspace with GitHub is optional, and saving a Maleta to your account is always an explicit action.
    • There is no server that runs the selection.
    • There is no automatic sync: saving to your account is an explicit action.
