    Your first Maleta

    Build a selection in the workspace, review it, and export a maleta.json to keep or share locally.

    #Build the selection

    1. Basics

      Open the builder and set the Maleta's name and description.

    2. Skills

      Choose the skills to include in the selection.

    3. Optional settings

      Add plugins and choose the target tool and operating system when needed.

    4. Review

      Review the selection before exporting the manifest.

    The builder is available at app.maleta.dev/builder.

    #Export and save locally

    Export the maleta.json file after the review. The workspace can save up to 50 Maletas locally, with a 2 MB storage limit.

    #Local storage and your account

    A Maleta is created and stays in this browser. Saving to your account is an explicit action: signing in sends nothing, and there is no automatic sync.

    • Saving to your account lets you open the same Maleta on another device with the same account.
    • If the account version changed on another device, the workspace asks before overwriting it: reload from the cloud or save as a copy.
    • Deleting it from your account does not delete this device's copy, and deleting it from this device does not delete the account copy.
    • The exported maleta.json is identical in both cases: no account identifier is added to the file.

    With the manifest saved, you can review its structure, import it again, or move on to running the CLI locally.
